A Note About the Appointment Making Process

Appointment Making is a process of prayer, consultation, discernment, testing and firming up projected appointments.  This process began in January and will continue up to Annual Conference, when Bishop King will “fix” the appointments for the coming year.  Bishop King and the District Superintendents covet your prayers and patience during this period.

Appointments are posted on the website as they become firm projections.  Additional appointments are under consideration and will be released to the public after the local churches and pastors are informed.

Re: Making Contact with "Projected" Pastors

Congregational leaders/members are asked to refrain from making contact with their newly projected pastor until after the projected appointment appears online. Once the name appears online, the Pastor Parish chair may telephone the projected pastor to offer a welcome.  Site visits by the projected clergy to the newly projected appointment may be planned after May 1.
