Opening New Worlds Conference – April 13-14
Wesley Glen Ministries presents Opening New Worlds, a church, caregiver, teacher, and parent disabilities ministries conference. Preaching for Life Change Seminar – April 19
Join Jennifer and Rev. Jim Cowart at Harvest United Methodist Church on April 19 from 9 a.m. - noon as they share practical steps to “Preach for Life Change.”  “Preaching for Life Change” is a free seminar designed to help pastors not just give a “nice talk,” but to preach the gospel in a way that leads to changed lives. Native American Awareness Sunday – April 22
On Native American Ministries Sunday, United Methodists cultivate and support urban missions with Native Americans and fund scholarships for Native American seminarians.

Clergy Sexual Ethics Workshop – April 24
A Sexual Ethics Workshop is scheduled for April 24 at Warner Robins First United Methodist Church.  This workshop is required every three years for persons serving under appointment by the Bishop (clergy, local pastors, extension ministers, appointed lay speakers). General Conference – April 24-May 4
General Conference is the top policy-making body of The United Methodist Church. The 1000-member assembly meets once every four years to consider revisions to church law, as well as adopt resolutions on current moral, social, public policy and economic issues. It also approves plans and budgets for churchwide programs for the next four years. The 2012 meeting will take place April 24-May 4 at the Tampa Convention Center.
