Mrs. Elsie Wilson Howell Eason, a longtime resident of Warner Robins, passed away from natural causes on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at the age of 89. Born Jan. 21, 1922, to the late James B. and Hattie Wilson, Elsie was mother to five and "Nana" to 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a 30-year member of Warner Robins First Baptist Church. Elsie worked as a seamstress, homemaker and daytime caregiver to children in the Warner Robins community. Later in life, Elsie enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, cooking for loved ones, spending time in her vegetable garden and helping her great-grandchildren hunt for Easter eggs. A devoted mother and generous neighbor, she will always be remembered for her unwavering faith, sweet manner and kind spirit. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Gayle Henderson of Franklin, Tenn.; and Mrs. Janice Stone of Warner Robins; three sons, Jerry Howell of Bartow, Ga.; Jim (Colvin) Howell of Conyers, Ga.; and Charlie Howell of Marietta, Ga. Services were held Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Warner Robins.
